I will be starting college soon going into web design, I've already had a bunch of experience with it on a plain old compaq desktop that's a few years old with photoshop 7, but that's not the point. The point is that I ned to buy a laptop. I am not buying a mac because I personally prefer windows. I'm willing to spend about 500-700 dollars on one maybe a little more depending on how good it is. But I really need to know what you need in a computer for web design, about how much memory I'll need, and anything else really. Also I know this makes me sound stupid but what is RAM?
