I am a 48 year old women, active and healthy, no medical problems, diagnosed with Lantent TB a few weeks ago, postiive skin test (15mm), negative xray, waiting for the sputum results and bloodwork results.
The doctor and I had discussed going on the prentative meds but need to wait for the test results, in 2 weeks.
The next day after I completed and submitted my 3 day sputum test I got a sore throat and a deep cough. I am now worried as to when the latent when/could become active.
I am really worried because I have a 16 year old son who has Type#1 Diabetes and do not want him to contract this infection and everytime I get a cough I am really worry is it the TB.
