What is the langauge situation in Senegal?= I am aware that the official language is French and as far as I ám concerned the official language for dealing buisness is French too. I would like, however, to know a little bit more details about this matter.
For example, Wollof, the lingue franca of Senegal is spoken by all people, but is it possible to recieve medical help, education or any other kind of service in this language? Also, is the country officially bilingual in the matters of official documents and authorities? What about television and other media like newsletters and books?
I would appreciate ANY kind of reference in form of links and ANY information about ANYTHING that concerns languages is VERY WELCOME!
