This was on Empire website about a new Will Ferrel comedy:

"Universal has given the greenlight to a big screen version of Land of the Lost and inked Will Ferrell to topline the $100 million comedy, to be directed by Brad Silberling (A Series of Unfortunate Events).

We don't remember ever seeing Land of the Lost on TV and a quick straw poll of the office found that nobody, young nor less young, recalls watching it. But it started in the early '70s, when the world was still in sepia and many of us weren't born yet. Or maybe it was just an American thing. So, we can't account for the quality of the original series, but it was, the goRAB of Wikipedia inform us, about a family of three

Hi guys.

I went to see Land of the Lost last night - and it was the most AMAZING movie I have seen in a long time, I highly recomend it. I admit, there was a couple of bits where it lost its way a bit, but its jurrasic park, comedy, action, star trek, lost all rolled into one.

Its not something thats meant to be taken very seriously, but it does its job for 2 hours of escapism. Theres innuendos, jumpy bits, funny bits, "omg" bits.

It has everything.

One comment I have though. Remember all the complaints when the original Jurrasic Park came out in 1993? T Rex destroying the cars that was too scary for kiRAB. There was similar scenes in this.

Really? You on drugs?

Seriously, I thought it was the biggest load of crap I have seen for quite some time. But then that's my opinion.
