Lake San Antonio! going to take family there for a camping trip?

hello I am from Lompoc California and I am going to be taking my family to Lake San Antonio by Monterey County I believe. I wanted to get some input from anyone that has been there before. I want to know what to expect. is it a nice place. do we bring our own grill. how far is the water from the campsites??? Please any inputs would help
