lake erie fishing help?

im going fishing in lake erie tomorrow just off a dock im estimating MAYBE 20' deep max and it is in open water. what lure would u suggest? I wanted to try some tubes, fake minnows, jigging worms, would i catch anything in open water with these? Most fish i hear about are in planty or rocky places
