Laguna Seca MotoGP Anyone?

Seriously,

For those looking for hotel rooms, yeah, it's expensive and a PITA. The hotel rooms I can sort of live with, it's the CHP harrassment that I cannot live with. Still....

Everytime I did get a hotel room, there were a number of us. One to two per bed, and 5-7 'enchilada'd' on the floor. It was the only way to make it affordable.

Forget RV's, last I saw RV's would be close or over $1,000 for 4 days *and* you gotta grab your ankles to pay for gas. Ask me how I know.

The best thing you can do, is get a bunch of people together for one double bed room. (and for the love of god don't TELL the hotel that you got 7-9 people in one room like my idiot buddy who slipped and almost cost us a hotel 3 years ago!)

Keep looking around for deals. Don't forget to look on Craigslist, you never know if someone will open up a guest bedroom.

RVs are cheap. 100 a day with a 4 day minimum. We are going to get a small 5 man RV and split it. Camping is only 50 a night at track. Looking at about 500 split between the 4 of us for the trip. Seems to be the best way to go for us. Gas will not be all that bad. just Six hours for us to drive and can trailer the bikes with us too.

We (self, wife, and 2 sons) go every year...AMA and now MotoGP.... great times.

Last year we stayed at the Intercontential down in Monterey (by bike night on Cannery Road. Years before that we stayed at Quail Lodge in Carmel. This year I have 2 rooms booked at the Embassey Suites in Seaside...best location for track access, and a large parking lot for trailers, etc. The rooms are all suites (beds in one room, pull out in another), and they have free breakfast...as well as free happy hour every afternoon... good times.

Just dont know if we'll haul the bikes up in a trailer, or not.
