You said,

I have hit a rough patch...It was 4 months last Friday...Being back at work this past month has been exhausting...and of course ran me down and now I have a bad cold.....The pain in my groin...that feels like a muscle strain can also be nerve pain..this was the hip w/ the graft...I now feel a buzzing in my crotch area..(wish it felt good) and I still get nurabess in toes in BOTH feet.

I am so sorry you are feeling the nurabness, nerve pain and buzzing. Nerve pain is the absolute worst in my book. Have you ever tried a product called biofreeze? You can order it online and it is cold feeling that nurabs the pain pretty deep in your legs/foot. You might consider trying that. I wish I could lend you mine so that you could try it but that is a tad hard when I have no idea who you are or where you live. ;)

Spoke to the surgeon's nurse as did my PT.....They (Dr's office) wants me to lay off the PT for a week....which I hesitate to do....I feel like I'll lose momentum...trying to get an appt. with Dr. when he's here in CT office next week..

I think this is a good idea. Sometimes PT is a good thing then other times it can really cause the pain to rear up. I have found walking in the pool to be very effective or sitting in a spa and moving my legs.

I'm SO DISCOURAGED..and depressed...Cried like a baby tonight. feel ther should be light at the end of this nightmare..I have been trying so hard w/ PT...and walking 20 minutes EVERY day...Even in today's heat..

I am sorry you are discouraged. Many people go into this surgery and are not prepared for the length of time recovery takes. It can take up to 1 to 2 years and honestly do you think a surgeon is going to share that little tidbit? If he did, I am sure many people would think long and hard about the surgery. Do they have you on any antidepressents? You might consider something to help you thru this little bump in the recovery period.

I wonder if all the sitting at work is hurting me....I have SO much on my plate there and the stress is killing me....I have to come up w/ a better plan and cut back again to fewer hrs...they are very demanding and everyone forgets what I just went thru....

It sounRAB like you are trying to do alot, working, walking, and PT. Your body might just be saying HELP this is too much.

Please someone tell me what I'm feeling can be TEMPORARY.

Okay, what you are feeling can be TEMPORARY. :jester: Did that help?

As for the new man....although we had a nice several dates there was really no spark, and with my lack of energy and motivation it just faded. he's also unfortunately dealing w/ daughter w/ a severe drug problem..I feel so bad for him.

His loss - we don't want him to monopolize your time anyway. We enjoy chatting with you. :D

Seriously, I pray that this reprieve from PT will help you a little so that you can catch your breath and relax a little. Just go home from work and be a couch potato for the week and call in deliveries for dinner so that you are not cooking or pushing yourself with dishes, etc.. It may be just what you need to relax.
