I've been checking my medications lately to see if they contain any wheat/gluten or dairy/lactose because of my intolerance to them. I just realized that my generic form of Xanax that I've been taking .75mg/as needed for the past 2 1/2 years actually does contain lactose. I've never noticed a stomach ache or anything after taking it and I still have a few prescriptions at home. I read that medications have such a low amount of lactose (25-50mg in a pill compared to 12,000mg in a glass of milk..or something close to that) but was wondering if I continue to take it will it do anything to me? I'll change to the non-generic but in the meantime I have a few RXs that I don't want to waste..
