So Canada Day is the 1st of July, and this year was a tuesday. Instead of getting the weekend off then working one day then getting another day off, my boss decided to give us monday off. My brother-in-law told me that, its fine he gave us monday off instead, but if he doesn't pay us time and a half for working on tuesday he has to say we worked a full 8 hours on monday. I brought this up at work and they told me that because we work in an agriculture business, they are exempt from these laws due to differnt taxes.
Can someone please clarify for me what the labour laws in Canada say they would have to pay me?
