...the direction of proton transfer? example: H2O (acid) + Cl- (base) <---> OH- (base) + HCl (acid)....the H2O loses proton to Cl- and HCl gives proton to OH-

1. H2O + H2O <---> H3O + OH-

2. H2SO4 + OH <---> HSO4 + H20

3. HSO4- + H2O <---> SO4-2 + H3O

4. OH- + H3O <---> H2O + H2O

5. NH3 + H2O <---> NH4 + OH-
