Hello.
My mother underwent a laminectomy procedure nine years ago to remove L5/S1. Ever since, she has suffered with a pain that she describes as 'stabbing' in the vicinity where the disk used to be, in addition to weakness, sensitivity, and nurabness in her left leg. Upon asking doctors' opinions, it seems that the pain is due to scar tissue that has built up in the area that is aggravating the nerves. What can be done to decrease/cure the pain, besides prescription medication? Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?
Thanks.
