9-3-07 I felt a pop in my back. I wrote a report on it for work. I stayed working until the 14th. I couldn't move anymore so I had to go to the hospital. My first doctor did surgery on me 12-6-07. I had a discectomy for the disc between L5 S1. After the surgery he told my mom that he didn't need to pull or tug or anything. It was just laying there. I soon afterwarRAB had an infection. I called them and they said to wait and see if I have fluid come out. I had no feeling in my right leg, right arm, fevers, and a huge bump on the surgery site the size of a 12 inch softball. Once it blew open, he just gave me meRAB to get rid of the infection. After that, he sent me to another doctor in his office. That doc was telling me that I need a new job and they will help me make more money. I said no! I have 6 years of college and I love this job! I was so depressed! If I didn't have kiRAB and believe in God I don't know if I could have gotten through this. I finally asked my L&I manager to go to a different doctor for a different opinion. She said yes! I went to this great doctor. He said my vertebrae had moved back, my right side is crushing down and so on. He told me that the other doctor should have put tubes in me for the infection. He also had a lot of test done like an EMG. I had my L5&S1 fused and a nerve decompression done last 11-08. Since then I have had another EMG done. My new great doctor told me and my employer that the last doctor cut my L5 nerve. My L5 nerve was just mangled and looked like it was barely holding on. My EMG report said I had 60% lose in my whole right leg through my butt to my back. The doc that did the EMG told me that I will not get it back. This is my right leg. I am a city bus driver. I am working full time. I had to take a test to go back to work last feb. Because no one felt I could do it but me. I hate sitting at home. I took a 5 hour test and they failed me and then I got really upset so I went back and took a 2.5 hour test and they passed me. Yes, I can't do anything with my right foot but I have good push down strength. My right leg is smaller than my left leg. That sucks. I was 33 years old when this happened to me. This has messed with my life (my husband and kiRAB too) so much but I am happy now that I am feeling more normal except for my right leg and not being able to walk far, bend over good, and things like that. I am at least working and able to clean a little. There was a time I wasn't able to go to the restroom or shower or walk or anything and that wasn't very long ago. So my question is do you think I will get my leg back? Also I get some very bad screaming cramping pain (like charlie horse) in my leg and foot and muscle relaxers don't help at all. My leg is nurab and cold. What can I do for that?
