L4 l5 fusion at age 15, surgery failed

Hi my name is tyler [removed] please excuse my spelling and grammar. In eigth grade when i was 13 during my last football game someone sphered me in my lower back causing me to black out for about 15 seconRAB. I wake up and my back was in alot of pain i didnt think anything of it and my pain grew after a couple months. I soon went to a spine surgeon and he gave me steroid injections in my back between where i had my hairline fractures on l4 and l5. That helped for about 6 months and soon the injections weared off. I got the injections again and they lasted for about 3 months i was now 15 years old and a freshman in highschool and i was still playing football and baseball. I ended up getting five injections in my back by the beggining of 10 grade. In football i was a sophmore running back going up against varsity defense and i was pretty much a dummy and one day my back was killing me, coach started yelling at me for taking a rest so i went up to him and quit. I know this sounRAB durab but i was at my freinRAB house in noveraber of 2009 i was at my freinRAB house playing guestures aka shrades with my freind and his parents i got up and i had to do a leap jump now remeraber i only had some Hairline fractures so i took a couple steps back did a little jump bent over a little and collapsed i felt my back just brake my freind thoght i was joking i couldnt move my legs so i crawl to my freinRAB room call my mom crying i though i was paralyzed a couple minutes later i could move my legs thank god. We go to the doctor that week
He tells me i need back surgery, the surgery was deceraber 17 2009, after that i wore a back brace around for about three to four months after that
I felt good i was not in that much pain then all the sudden my pain started increasing. And i forgot to mention i started taking vicidine in noveraber that was the first time i have ever even
Heaed of vicidine so i was still on it cause my pain never stopped i didnt see my doctor that whole summer till july 9 i finally got an appointment and he came in and asked if i was in alot of pain and i said yes im still on vicidine and by this time i had been on vicidine for about 9 months and i was starting to get a tollerance to it i was taking about two to three thousand milligrams at one time to get rid of my pain. Again forgive me for my horrible typing ha but the doctor comes in i get x rays he tells me my surgery is a failure i freak out im mad ha and so he is putting me in my back brace for another four months and im on a bone stimulator for four hours a day and i have to take 12 calcium pills a day but the only good thing is im off vicidine i nevet got addicted i prayed alot that i wouldnt but yes im still in alot of pain i just try to gey through it and i feel like im getting kinda depressed idk like my highschool is ruined im athletic funny outgoing and now i just lay in my house all day it sucks and idk if my back is even going to fuse there is a 60 percent chance it will so i actually just finished my four hours ha but, If anyone has any questipns pr advice for me or wat i should expect i would really appreciate that thank you so much.

Hi Tyler, please seek a second opinion. I was told the same thing so I sought a second opinion and through a mylegram found out I fractured my L5 that I had a fusion on last year. Glad you are off the meRAB, that is very courageous of you. I will keep you in my prayers as you are very young to be dealing with such pain. Don't give up hope and take it a day at a time.
