Kyocera KX160b to cricket help

i got a kx160 i really need to flash to cricket, but one problem. it wont detect it no matter what. im using an actual kyocera usb cable and the system only sees the cable. i plug the phone up to it and nothing, no chimes or whistles.
i have all the files for it and everything. im trying to flash it over from us cellular if that helps. ive checked the settings to see if i have to enable the data/modem ports like on the audiovox's but nothing and checked the service prog mode as well. pretty stumped. any help would be great appreciated ....thanx in advance

some times port is not gd. i have around 100 of those...lol

its brand new tho....could it be that the port is bad? prolly just one of those things im guessing...about to tap out on trying to flash this thing

I can flash a mojority of phones, but I HATE Kyocera phones cuz I could never get them to connect or flash, lol. I haven't had to to turn down barely any business because of my lack of Kyocera knowledge tho.

I've also had problems getting Kyocera's to be recognized. I've found that it helps to dial *228 or *611 while the phone is physically connected to the PC. But this doesn't always work. Good luck!
