Saw the trailer for this film at the pictures. Any idea when it is going to be released? Is the delay so it can be dubbed into english?

It look very funny bit Jackie Chan in style.

Kung Fu Hustle is released in UK cinemas on the 24th of June so its a few weeks wait untill we can see it. I have already seen the trailer quite a few times and it does look really good!

I am not normally one for visiting the pictures. I can count on both hanRAB how many times I been in the last 20 years. Star Trek The Voyage Home, The Three Amigos, Star Trek Undiscovered Country, Generations, First Contact, Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy and Revenge Of the Sith.

Actually for the first 10 years of life I was scared of cinemas. I don't like being in the dark you see but they now have some lights left on during the film so its not so bad.

Might go see KFH even through it will be subtitled.

It is already available on the net but want to see it on the big screen.

Yeah I would rather see it on the big screen as well. Appartently there is also going to be a tv series of the film as well called Kung Fu Champion. The series will reunite the entire cast of the film apart from Stephen Chow and will revolves around a series of ridiculous contradictions that occur between a poor man and a millionaire. Filming has already begun in China on the series!

Sub titles rule over dubbing, Stephen Chow hates dubbing, so be true to him and see it sub titled :)

I've seen it uncut and it's brilliant, keep watching certain scenes over and over. Totally recommend it.

This film is great. I bought it on Region 3 DVD a few months ago. Might just go see it at the cinema to experience it on the big screen

I saw the trailor a few months back on the Japanese PSP sampler disk, I went to see the film lastnight and it didnt disapoint. Like a few of the previous posts I was glad to hear it was subtitled, dubbing just ruins the look of many foriegn films. Cant wait for the R2 DVD release, what are the extras like or the R3 disk?

Stephen Chow, has announced a sequel to Kung Fu Hustle. Kung Fu Hustle 2 will shoot as early as September, with Chow hoping to have it wrapped by year's end. The original cast - including Stephen Chow himself, Lam Tse-Chung (Chow's sidekick), Yuen Qiu (the Landlady) and Yuen Wah (the Landlord) - have agreed to return, even Chan Kwok-Kwan, whose character died in the first film, will return as a new character. The $15 million dollar sequel will again be distributed by Sony!

Appartently Huang Shengyi who played the female lead in Kung Fu Hustle is currently trying to leave Steven Chow's agency and so her chances of appearing in the sequel are very slim at the moment!

Stephen Chow has been talking about the sequel to Kung Fu Hustle stating "There will be a lot of new characters in the movie," he says. "We'll need a lot of new actors. It's possible that we'll look for people abroad besides casting locals".
