Knocking app for iPod touch 4g keeps freezing?

It works fine other than whenever I try to knock someone it just freezes on me, on my 3G iPod I didn't even have the option to knock, they had to knock me but I guess now I can knock since I have 2 cameras but whenever I fry to knock all it does is show the green button where it says knock this person and I have to press the home screen and try again
