Hey everyone, hope all is well with you. First, a brief synopsis, maybe someone has had previous experiences with this type of thing. Last summer I ended up messing up some ligaments/tendons in my upper leg, groin area. It took a few months for them to finally diagnose it as such, since I had some fluid buildup (small lumps) that kinda threw things off. That issue basically subsided and I went about 4 months of feeling absolutely fine. Then yesterday I ended up with some strange stuff going on again.
I noticed a small bump on my thigh, right above my knee cap, kinda soft, and definitely tender. It appeared very suddenly. It's not all that big, but you can kinda see a slight swelling around it. It's not quite in the center, but more toward the outside of my right leg. Throughout the day today, it's made my quadricep muscle seem very tight, and kinda stretched out, as well as some discomfort when I try to completely straighten my knee out. My Mom thought it may just be a bug bite in a bad location, but there's no redness or itch involved with it. I don't have insurance now and won't for another month or so, so I can't really afford to get it checked out. Like I said before, I definitely don't remember doing anything to it, just maybe sitting on it funny. Every once in awhile, it kinda sends a slight pain up through my thigh. Could this be something serious, like a tumor, or maybe just an injury. Or maybe a painful, poorly placed bug bite? Anyone have anything like this before? I'd really appreciate any thoughts since I'm kinda freaking out about it.
