I had my 1 level fusion and laminectomy on Feb 19th. My knees have been hurting worse and worse until yesterday my right knee had a sharp pain and wouldnt bear my weight. I thought maybe because I am using them more by squatting to pick upo things but I am concerned. I called my Dr for him to squeeze me in. Any one have this happen?

I had already had knee problems for years anyway, but it could be that you're walking and standing differently as you recover from this huge surgery, putting extra stress on your knees. I had hip problems for that reason after surgery. Hopefully, it's just a passing thing that will improve as you continue in your recovery. Good to check it out to be sure, though. Was the doctor able to squeeze you in?

Heya:

I had a fusion 2 years ago and find that my knees ain't what they used to be from all the squatting I do now. They're not as painful as yours sound, and I hope your doc fit you in.

Let us know how you're doing -- and if you don't have one, suggest getting yourself a grabber so you don't have to squat as much.
