I ran a 5 mile race a couple of years ago. Towards the end of my race my left knee started to hurt. The pain can be described as a sharp pain that worsens as i continue to workout. the pain almost feels like the outer side of my knee is tightening. it also makes my knee feel like it needs to pop to relieve pressure. My knee cap doesn't hurt but perhaps it feels like the pain encompasses my kneecap. Any thoughts on what the pain is? Can I do something to fix it? Thanks for the help
