Hi, yesterday I did a 6 mile hike with about 40 lbs of gear on. Earlier this morning, I ran a 3 mile run. During the afternoon, I was sitting on a box and stretched my right leg and a sharp pain overcame me. My right knee has an acute pain when I touch a certain spot. The pain originates on the top of my knee cap towards the left where the gap is. When i stretch the skin tight, I try and locate the pain. I feel a bump on my knee and i press down on it, only to find a very sharp, beesting-like pain. It seems like something is under my knee, maybe broken cartilage, and is floating around my knee. I say this because every time i try to locate the pain, I feel it. But when I take my finger off of it and press on it once more, there is no pain. I search for the pain again, but its at a new spot around that area of the knee.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this or know what this problem is and can help me. I'm not saying its a fact that it is cartilage, but only saying what it feels like.
