Klonopin has made me feel worse..Help!

I started taking Klonopin about 8 months ago for mild anxiety. The doc's tried me on at least 10 different anti-depressents so that I could control my anxiety and get off the Klonopin, but absoultely nothing has worked. Since taking the Klonopin I have developed bad depression and my anxiety has grown steadily worse over the months.

Has anyone else had the same or a smiliar problem from taking a Benzo? I have slowly begun to taper off and hope that by coming off of the Klonopin, the new anti-depressent I'm on will have a chance to do it's stuff as right now I'm in a living hell...waking up at 5am every day, anxious & shakey all day every day and I have now lost my appetite :confused: I'm scared...

Any advice would be most welcome :)

I have taken Klonopin for a long time. But if I take it by itself - only Klonopin - no other med, than it does make me depressed in the long run. If I use something like Effexor, Pristiq or Lexapro for anxiety, then add the Klonopin to relax in the evening, then its ok.

But, again, the Klonopin by itself will make me depressed.
