Klock Werks vs Long Ride shields

I have an '08 SG with the stock 4" shield. Like everyone else the wind buffeting at normal riding speed was bothersome (to say the least). I ordered a 6-1/2" Klock Werks shield after reading the reviews here thinking that may solve the problem. Shortly after ordering the Klock Werks shield Long Ride offered any of their shields for $75 with free shipping. I couldn't resist. The Klock Werks arrived first and the Long Ride several days later. I rode approximately 100 miles with both and here are my findings: (btw, I'm 6'-0" with a 32" inseam).
The 6-1/2" Klock Werks looked awsome and reduced buffeting about 50% over the stock shield (55-65 mph). Due to the angle of the flare of the shield though, my 2 pocket fairing pouchs were pushed foreward and slightly distorted.
The Long Ride looks more like a stock shield and reduced buffeting by approximately 70% over the stock shield. No contact with my fairing pouchs either.
Everyone has a different length torso so others may see different results. I have decided to keep the Long Ride shield. If anyone is interested in a "like new" Klock Werks shield PM me and I'll give you a heck of a deal.

i have the klock works on my ride also. i do love the look, but im finding the distortion due to contours a little annoying also in heavy rain it was 70% worse in the way it threw the rain around and the run off streaming upward, IMHO. did you run into any of these issues also?

I had a klock werks windshield on my 09 street glide.....helped with the buffeting but really liked the way it made the bike feel at highway speeds. It really helps cut down that lift feeling.

I had the 8" stock and now run with the KW 8.5"

The KW is OK but not worth the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ IF I could turn the clock back, I would save my money...

5'6"

I will be in Reno for SV.. I may check out the other
