Klipsch Image S4 v.s. Sony MDR-EX300?

hello all,

i have been searching for a good pair of headphones for a few weeks now and i have tried out skullcandy, klipsch, and bose in-ear headphones. the skull candy gave me a very good amount of bass, but the mids and highs were not very good. the bose delivered the same amount of bass but the mids and highs seemed a little drowned out by the bass. the klipsch seems to be the best out of all three, and i do agree that it is great for a lot of different styles of music, but i found the bass, although well noticeable, not as present as that produced by the skullcandy or bose. i looked at the drivers for klipsch image s4 and found that 8mm drivers were being used, and in the skullcandy 11mm drivers were used. i was not able to find the driver size for bose, so i then looked up a pair of sony MDR-ex300 earphones and saw that their drivers were larger than both with 13.5mm. i am wondering if anyone has owned a pair of these (the sony pair) and can provide some comments about the bass, mids and highs produced by the sony earphones with different styles of music in comparison to the Klipsch? it seems to me that since the drivers and frequency response range on the sony earphones are larger than those of the Klipsch, and i am under the assumption that the sony earphones should come out on top because of that. any insight would be appreciated!

thanks in advance!
