New one at 8:30/7:30c tonight. Plot from tv.com:
Ooh, a water park plot. Cool. Water parks aren't used nearly often enough in animation, IMHO.

See you there!

this episode is so far great. looks like this show has got a secong life. i'm actually laughing out loud with this moreso than the simpsons.

wow. i gotta see how family guy and american dad hold up, but i hafta say that so far, this show has been the best of the night. i like how uplifting the ending was. very refreshing from the recent mean-spirited cartoon trend.

That was a nice episode. Boomhauer got his cool back, Bill became the heat waver, and best of all, they used force to take out the bullies.

Indeed. That surfing wave pool was pretty darn cool, I haven't seen something like that in the water parks I've been to. Hah, I loved that line. It seems like it's been a while since we've heard Hank say a variant on that catch phrase.

Bill is SO gonna get cancer. :p

Because the hour long season premere counts as 2 episodes.

Funny over all episode. I love how the beginning Boomhaur subplot intertwined with the end.

The water park ad must be a parody of a local one, but it translated perfectly regionally. Especially the end where the announcer attempts a very very bad Carribean accent. Seen way too many of those.

And poor Bill. Every time something makes him happy, it's always bad for him.

Also, great to see that Joespeh wasn't overly akward and boarderline psychotic in this episode (when they did that to him, it killed the character).

One of the best episodes of the show I can remember. It was just really well-written, very funny, and I actually felt for the character of Boomhauer who I don't think has ever been anything more than a one-note character until this episode.

It's amazing how excellent this show has become with age. It's the only one I can think of that's benefitting from a twelfth season.

Having looked them up, I've seen "Dang Ol' Love" but all I can really remember about it are Bill's attempts to meet a woman by putting potholes in the street. After that scene, I'm drawing a blank.

"Patch Boomhauer" aired during a time when I had quit watching Fox Sundays for whatever reason. I know part of it was how bad the Simpsons had gotten. It was basically the anchor for my watching on Sundays. After I quit watching that, I just quit watching at all. It wasn't until Family Guy came back that I started watching on Sundays again and started catching up on the Simpsons and King Of The Hill again. I've caught up a little bit on the Simpsons through reruns, largely by pure accident that I happened to be watching, but I've never really caught up on the seasons of KOTH that I missed. I kind of regret it but then I've also heard that the last two seasons or so are actually seeing the show recover from a slump, a slump which I apparently missed, so maybe it was lucky that I didn't see those.

A very well written episode. All three episodes intertwined, nothing felt out of place, and above all, it was funny and it featured a character in a plot that they haven't used in a while.

I gotta say, Bobby singing that jingle was one of the highlights, I loved it.

B+

Boomhauer isn't really a one dimensional character...he's a ladies man hipster, but he can be just as unconfident as the rest of them.

As long as Luanne doesn't become a drooling braindead moron and Lucky isn't in the episode at all (much as I like Tom Petty), it's a great episode IMO. Luanne was her normal self, and was just a little naive, instead of walking into a LCD TV, like Peggy was afraid of (couple episodes back). That was a little too far for my taste.
