king lear vs the stone angle?

Why is hagar from the stone angle not able to repair her relationship with marvin. Yet, in king lear, he is able to rebuild his relationship with cordilla.

alright so
they both have lots of pride. Their family now turns against them, they become isolated and loose pride
lear is able to rebuild his relationship with cordillia
but hagar is un able to rebuild her reltionship with marvin
whyyyyyyyy?
