My kids are small, under the age of 6 and they cannot go near the pup we bought, we've had him for 3 months and while we've done the training leash thing and crate training and spoken to dog trainers, they cannot go near him without him biting at them.
So in turn, they won't go near him and I don't blame them who wants to go try to pet a dog when you're just going to get pet. And now in turn all he does is whine, whine, whine and I get the feeling that this dog just wants it all, when we give him attention it isn't long enough so he tries to bite our hand to control us, and then he'll just sit and whine. We don't have all day to sit and give to a dog the attention, I was under the impression that with dogs they adapt to your life.
I want him gone now so he can go to a home he'll be fully appreciated in, but b/c we paid a lot of money for our pup, my spouse won't let him go for less than half the cost we spent but in turn nobody wants to spend that for ''used'' pup so what do I do. Meanwhile this dog is getting increasingly aggressive, whiney and I believe he should be gone yesterday.
edit-sorry, kids can't go and pet the pup without constantly getting bitten at and I don't blame them for not wanting to go near him now. On Saturday, he bite my daughters cheek who just went into pet him and say ''good boy''
The dog trainers say this well get better in time but meanwhile I'm supposed to be happy with having my kid getting bitten every time she goes near him?!
