Keypad Lights Up Brighter On One Side Than The Other

Hello.

I have a Nokia 8800 Arte. Great phone, works fine. However, the right side of my keypad (3, 6, 9, # as well as 8 and 0) is barely lit at all. While the right side (1, 3, 7, *) is lit normally and fine. And 2 and 5 are lit average, but not as bright as the left side. Anyone know the reason behind this? No water or anything has went insdie the keypad. Has a bulb or whatever lights it up gone bad on that one side?
Problem is, I live in America, and there are no Nokia service places around me where I can go and get the phone serviced. And it's not a US phone, so I can't send it to one of their service centers for repair. Is it just a setting or something? What should I do? It looks stupid at night especially, having only half a keypad light up.

It appears, based on a description, that the issue is an electrical (internal) issue.

It wouldn't be something easy to fix. You probably would be incapable of fixing it yourself. Sometimes, electrical shops (besides the Nokia shops) would be able to troubleshoot the issue. You may even try a local computer repair store. Possibly even Google online and see if there is anywhere you could send it to fix it.

Nokia wouldn't create a dumb setting like that to adjust half of the keypad from the other half...that just doesn't make sense.
