I don't know if I can explain this well, but while I've been learning music for awhile now, whenever key signatures come up, I get confused. Like, besides memorizing, how do you tell what ALL of the sharps or ALL of the flats are in a particular key, such as A? (I'm not asking specifically for A, I mean in general.) I know how to name the key by looking at the sharps/flats. It's just seeing the name of the key, that I have no idea how to tell how many sharps or flats there are, and which ones. So, is there any way besides memorizing them? Thanks.
