Kevin Williamson replaced on 'Scream 4'?

Scream creator Kevin Williamson has allegedly been replaced as screenwriter on the latest instalment in the horror franchise.

Gutted :cry: . I didn't think much of Kruger's script for Scream 3 (a bit too Scooby Doo'ish for my liking) so this is bad news for me. I thought Kevin had finished the script!
 
Im so pissed off. This is going to ruin the whole franchise.

The 3rd scream was no where near as good as the first 2 and now they are getting that writer to write another one.

Who the hell cares if your screen time has been cut or your character has changed, deal with it, be grateful you were picked for the role.

Its all about the actors now.

Well that's something I suppose. Still don't like the idea of Ehren Kruger anywhere near the set, he ruined the trilogy as far as I'm concerned.
 
I found Scream 3 disappointing compared to the other 2 films so I was looking forward to Scream 4 knowing Kev Williamson was writing it. Now I don't think I'll bother with it if Kruger is involved. :(
 
I'll still see it out of interest, and it is too early to judge I suppose.

However, it reeks of a 'troubled production', and the back catalogues of Williamson and Kruger speak for themselves IMO. Whilst I loved the concept/setting of Scream 3, I definitely think it was the worst of the 3.
