Hello,
My ankle started hurting in Jan. 2009 and my knee in March 2009. Months of physical therapy did not work. I had a peroneal nerve decompression on my left knee in August 2009. I was symptom free for about 8 weeks before pain returned to my ankle and eventually to my knee. When I saw my surgeon he informed me that I had developed keloid scarring that was internally attaching itself to my nerve. I am Caucasian and I was told this was rare for Caucasians. I am a pole vaulter and have not stopped vaulting but the pain is affecting my performance. It's not February so I am quite a distance out from my surgery. Is there any treatment options anyone would suggest?
