Keeping Siamese Fighting Fish (betta)?

Hi there. ive decided to restock my old tank that ive just gotten out of the loft.

I would like to keep a Siamese Fighter and although there are plenty of sites that say what they cant go with, I cannot find any websites that say what they can be kept with.

Many sites say they are community fish but i would much prefer to not risk anything.

If anyone could provide a list of suitable fish then it would be much apperciated.

my tank is 24" x 12" x 12.

well neon tetras are good, small fish and bottom feeders. some small goldfish. and south african aquarium frogs.

i always thought they could go with anything but their own kind. Ther known to fight with their own. I have a community tank and i have one kept with all other community fish..
