Keep your spoiled little brats under control or leave them at home

I didn't realize that a child screaming over a candy bar, or in a movie was a genius. Next time I'm watching a movie and a parent won't take out their crying baby I'll be sure to call Mensa.

There is a difference between inquisitive and a spoiled brat.

I said, general crying. Babies and children cry for MANY reasons. Not JUST because they can't have a treat.

When you have your own child, feel free to punish them every time they cry in public. Good luck with that.
 
That's what I have been talking about. I agree with you that you can't punish children for crying, but they deserve to be punished if they are crying because they are brats. "I want _________ Cry cry" is unacceptable, "I don't feel well Cry Cry" is part of being a child.

Most people here are saying that any time a child cries, it means they are bad kids and should be punished. On several occasions thru this and the other thread I said, kids cry for a LOT of reasons--I don't have time to leave the store, drive 20 miles home, and wait for him to take a nap to go back to the store just because you all have sensitive ears.

Most people have stated that it doesnt matter why the child is crying, it is bad that they are crying.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement.
