Keep stalling manual car! Help!?

Ok, so I just got my license in December, and my parents bought me this 2001 Porsche Boxster S from one of their good friends. It's an amazing car, and exactly what I wanted. The only problem for me is: it's manual. My dad took me out twice to teach me the ropes (his first car was manual too, and he's quite good with standard transmission) and I thought with just some practice of what he taught me I'd be out on the road in no time. It's been a month since he showed me, and I STILL stall the car. I just cannot seem to find that perfect 'balancing act' that people do with the clutch and gas. I still have to sit there and ease on the gas and ease off of the clutch very slowly. If I try to do this faster, I just wind up stalling the car. The biggest problem with my inability to start fast is situations such as: I'm on a hill, I'm at a four-way stop and it's my turn to go, and at stoplights/stop signs and I can't hold traffic up. It is beginning to REALLY aggravate me. all my friends with manual transmission cars just tell me "yeah it took me about a week to get it down perfect", whereas I haven't gotten it down in a month! I can smoothly shift up and smoothly shift down once I get going, that's the not the problem. the problem is getting going. I really do love this car, and so do all of my friends. It really is extremely embarrassing to stall out with one of my friends watching and it makes me very angry. I stalled twice today at stop signs. What am I doing wrong?? why haven't I found that balance between the clutch and gas yet!? All I want is to be able to just get out of first gear without any delay. Please give me any tips you all may have to help me over come this. Thanks everyone in advance!
