Keep Razr?

So I went over to Verizon Wireless over the weekend to execute on my new-every-2. The rep there actually recommended the LG VX-8300 over the Razr for reasons of longer Talk-Time/Standby Time. However, in looking at the difference, it appears we are talking about a talk-time for the Razr of 200 minutes vs. 230 minutes for the LG (seems small to me). I'm coming off an LG VX-4400 which I have to admit I had a good experience with.

I decided to try the Razr V3m for 15 days. Definitely didn't like the style of the VX-8300 anywhere near as much as the Razr. I also figure I always have the option of the extended life battery ($49.99 at Verizon) ... realizing that it would "thicken" the footprint of the phone (not sure of what the talk-time rating is for this nor how much "thicker" it would be). However, in asking around ... I have heard a few more "negative" stories/feedback on the Razr ... for some reason moreso on the Verizon network than on others.

Interesting also is the fact that the V3m now comes with the mini-USB to 2.5mm adapter (allowing one to use wired headsets) free-of-charge.

I will say that it's a really sleek phone. I will also say that the buttons on the side are somewhat inconvenient as I find that I manage to press them simply by opening and closing the phone. I also observe that the signal strength (as measured by the number of bars on the display) seems to be a bit weaker than the VX-4400 in the exact same places, although I also don't seem to have a problem with the calls (or with people hearing me) in these same locations. I like the style of the phone and it seems to perform acceptably ... so far.

Looking for experiences of others with the Razr on Verizon, to help me make my "15-day" trial decision.

Thanks in advance!
