So I checked out the AD for kaze no stigma. Never heard of this anime before but the AD video had me intrested. Anyone watch this anime and know if its any good?

Haven't seen it, but a review by me is coming to TZ soon. It'll be interesting to see whether I like it or not, as I'm basically going into it blind.

Good timing. I'm probably going to rent it along with Kenichi part 2 on Netflix very soon after it comes out next Tuesday.

I liked the trailer, and what little buzz I've seen seems good. So I'm hopeful.

Despite some stereotypical characters and a few lackluster arcs, I felt the show was alright. It was not a series that I would consider "good," per se but it is one that I consider very entertaining. It's a character driven show (IMO) and the personalities and dynamics are what kept me coming back, not to mention the animation is pretty fluid too. It's nothing groundbreaking, but the concept is fun and well executed in most cases. I actually never got around to finishing it though, but I plan to pick up the DVRAB at some point.

Anyway if the trailer catches your interest you'll probably find it enjoyable, just don't expect it to be the series of the year, or anything.

I found Kaze no Stigma to be, well...a standard anime. Nothing ground-breaking but nothing wall-banging. Once you start the story you just cruise along for the ride. It's not horrible and it's not amazing. It's standard and fun. Yeah, if you liked the trailer, you'll like the show too.

(The opening, while good, has some really weird Engrish because nobody seemed to get it right. I've gotta see FUNi's translation)

Just noticed that the first 4 or 5 episodes for this show have been uploaded to 'Funi anime on On Demand'. So, if you wanna check it out, you have the option.

Well, I watch the first ARC and I have to say I really like the show. Not the best anime of the year but then again, that discribes most animes so saying thats rather meaningless. Its a lot fun to watch so I think I going to have to get the dub.

I think I just love Ayano antics.

Maybe my feelings will change more episodes in, but after watching six episodes, I find the show very very average. The concept of warring families is kinda cool and Kazuma Yagami has a selfish attitude that's mildly interesting, but it's surrounded by problems like a generic female lead (you know, the kind that has a thing for the male lead but constantly denies it and blushes whenever teased about it), some surprisingly substandard Gonzo animation (save for the action sequences, that is), and a very 'blah' soundtrack. The dub's all right, though.

It's far from the worst, and it's not a chore to sit through or anything, but if you go in expecting something unique or "OMG that's awesome!", you're likely going to be disappointed.

Like I said, it's a generic anime. Nothing more nothing less. It's just a show to watch and not a masterpiece to be admired or a wall-banger to chastise.

Though, the elemental stuff is really cool!

Good show, with some fun characters and decent action. The two leaRAB and their romance is actually pretty well done for the most part.

Though there are a couple weird interludes with Ren and his uncle that are just . . . .

This series looks pretty good based on the trailer I saw on the Funi site, I will definatly check out the first episode or two online before I shell out the cash to own it, but it looks pretty decent to me.
