I really wanted the W850 too, but after having a feel of it in my local phone shop I changed my mind. It is very plastic-like and has a ppor build quality, which is a shame because I really like the design. Also the buttons are not so asy to press, particularly if you text a lot -you'll be making a lot of misakes. Also, just above the orange Walkman bar/button is a slightly raised silver strip design for you to push up aginst with your thumb to open the phone. I found I nearly always hit the Walkman button itself which becomes very frustrating.
As an alternative I'd go with the K800. I can't say I'm a huge fan of candybar hadsets, or indeed joysticks but I must say that I'm really warming to the joystick and the camera is of the very highst quality. The music player in the K800 is based on that the software of Walkman 1.0 found in the likes of W810.
