K750i-how do i turn the camera sound off?

hey everyone. does anyone know how to turn the 'photo sound' off, on the
k750i. everytime i take a photo, a annoying 'click' sound is created. i have tried muting the phone, but still, no luck. has anyone else had similiar problems? cheers
 
I don't know anything about Sony-Ericsson phones, but on my LG camera phone the way to shut off the camera sound it to hit the Options soft-key while the phone is in camera mode, then one of the options in the menu is "shutter sound". Have you tried checking your user manual? If you've lost the original manual you can find one to download with google.

It's your firmware. Some "local" firmware versions don't allow the camera sound off as it's illegal in that part of the country. Try updating your firmware via the cable and see if that changes anything. It worked for me!
 
surely theres a way, if not, that is really annoying. i take it you have the same problem ?
 
how exactly do i do that? where is this 'firmware'? is it in the cd-rom which came with the phone?
 
You can get the firmware updater here. Just start it up and follow the instructions. You MUST have a data cable though (it should have come with your phone).
 
hey i downloaded the file, then began following the prompts, but then an error occured which stated that it was compatible with windows, and that it would run but it was likey that it would result in errors within the computer at some later stage. did you have this problem?
 
Is that exactly what the mesage said? If so then it may be confliction with another application. If you can't get to the bottom of this situation have you got another pc you can try it on? A friends maybe? They only bring out updates every half a year or so, so it wouldn't be too much hassle.

By the way, did it update anyway? If it did then just uninstall the app until you need it again - just to prevent your computer from going nuts!
