It seems I cannot set any of my MP3 files I've transfered to my cell phone as a ringtone. All I get is the message "Cannot set this file as a ringtone".

Very well, it seems some other models have the same problem, which is solved by using DRM Packager, but all I get after converting the MP3 is a .dm file that can't be set as a ringtone either.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something?
 
I'm guessing that your phone is probably locked to a provider. De-brand it by flashing the phone's firmware to generic version.
