K i dont really know what i'm asking, its about hiking....?

On saturday i am hiking a 6.4 mile hike slightly uphill, and i was wondering if any hikers here had any tips, or if any boody thats really fit has good ways for me to get into shape!

*I am in pretty good shape and a tid bit over weight, not to much though so i believe that i cando it!

Knapsack should carry liter of water minimum, one piece of fruit to chew, loud bandanna or two to wrap forehead, light poncho, jar of
petroleum jelly to rub sore feet, sun block, whistle, and aerosol
pepper spray that contains dye marker. I usually carry a pruning
saw to clear trail of wood falls and whack thorn problems aside.
Trail poles are fashionable 'tho rather unnecessary.
