Hi, i apologize if this question has been asked before but i cannot search it anywhere. I spoke with a bell rep but she did not explain to me quite clear.

I'm considering of renting Bell Hd Basic TV. For the 100 dollar rental kit, the website said it will apply back to my account. Just what does that mean, how do i get my $100 dollar back? The Bell rep said it is like a deposit, but why am i depositing? Right now i am assuming that Bell is using the 100 dollar rental kit as the $10 monthly credit for the 1yr receiver.

thanks in advance

It's a deposit that you will see back on your first bill. It's just like any other deposit you may have to give. Hydro, security deposit, etc...

I think it's mostly to show that you're serious about getting the service.

ask yourself this... if the retailer has a 'Rental Kit' for $100, and if you go to Bell directly, for the same thing and there is no 'Rental Kit'... and when the technician comes, he does nothing with this 'Rental Kit'... What do you suppose it is for.

You think people wouild be upset if they were just asked for $100 with nothing to show for it? You bet. Here's your $100 Rental Kit.

Bell will charge you the same $50 or $100 for that deposit wherever you go. You get it back. You don't "get nothing" for your $100. You get it back.

I'm not sure how to be more clear than that.

The rental kit is a deposit they require of any client (new client, existing client, returning client) that wants to rent a receiver

They bill you credit card for 100$ + taxes, and apply (if everything goes fine) a credit on the following bill for the same amount. If the worth of your programming is less than the rental credit (les than 100$ + taxes) you will therefore have a bill paid and the following one partially paid
