im currently unemployed at the minute,im an engineer by trade but dont want to continue in this line of work..i love astronomy and how the universe works and have enjoyed this since i was a child and id happily devote myself to studying this science but havent got a clue how or where i can start this..would i need any A-levels to gain entry to a course?would it be easier to study this subject online?..please help if you can, thanx

I guess from the mention of A-levels you're based in the UK. Have you considered the Open University? There are no entry requirements there. However, if you never did A levels I would suggest you'll probably need to take a few maths modules to get that up to scratch.
