Just trolling: is ignorance really a bliss?

I'm too smart for the majority of people I know so a lot of times I find myself in frustration because I have nobody to talk too. I can't talk about weather, latest shopping spree or American Idol. To me all of these is pure non-sense.
So, I was thinking: is it a good idea to become stupid in order to have friends to talk sh!tty things all day long and not be annoyed by that?
