Before i stocked my pond this year there was only one regular water frog living in it. I knew that it may eat a fish every now and then but i wasn't too worried about it. But after i bought 15 goldfish and 2 sucker fish (plecostomus) on friday, two days ago, I just went out to feed them and when i looked in the pond it was full of horny toads and half my fish are gone!!!! What can i do?
I love having gold fish in my pond and have never had this problem previously, at the end of the year i actually take the fish back to the pet store, and since they are big and healthy by then they are typically sold rather quickly. plecos can not live through the winter and while gold fish supposedly can i would rather not find out for my self.
so, what can i do? i tried calling my pet store but they are closed on sunday, so i was wondering if any of you have any ideas? please anything would help. thanks
