...line. is this right? I was barely two months into my 2 year contract when i sat on my phone and broke the screen. The rep told me that a new phone would cost a lot (since I didn't have insurance) and it would be cheaper to add an additional line. Now I have three lines and my granddaughter tells me that this can't be right. She thinks I was ripped off by Verizon. She says I'm basically paying for three phones but one doesn't work. Now I'm at a loss for what to do. Any ideas? Please don't be mean, I'm not very tech savvy.
They are charging me 20 dollars monthly per additional line. I had 2 lines originally. One for me and one for my husband. A two year contract is 24 months times the 20 dollars per month. That equals 480 dollars total. It doesn't include activation fees. What he didn't tell me is that I could buy one for 80 bucks on ebay and have it activated. That would have saved me a lot of money.

Am I right? Could I have bought a replacement off ebay and had them deactivate the bad phone and activate the one I bought?
