Hi all. I've read up a little about ASP.NET and I must say it looks very promising. ASP.NET was apparently designed with the intention of bridging the gap between windows programming and web programming, which I find brilliant. To be honest, I have always HATED the web development paradigm, which relies heavily on using tags and scripts.
But seeing as how I've never used it before, I'm not so sure if these WinForms can be close to standard Windows Forms as developing in VB6 for example. For anyone who has used ASP.NET, how would you rate it? Would you ever go back to using tag based HTML and PHP?
