You ever tried Newsleecher, it's pretty bad ass, with SS too, but Alt.Binz has SS too, NL is bulker, but it's my prefered client.
Just had a relook at SABnzbd+

Newsbin Pro has it there own search and so does Usenet Explorer.
It's not really any different from using a search engine, except SS is about 5-60 minutes faster in turn around time, but the real turn around time is just scanning headers
