My surgery was rescheduled for anterior and poaterior for March 14 but they just called about 20 minutes ago and due to a bad leak the hospital flooded up to the 5 or 6 floor i cant remeraber i was so upset so they have cancelled ALL surgeries for 8 weeks and they will call me back and let me know.

After cancelling it once i was ready and now this. So just letting you all know where i stand now.

Ooooh, I'm so sorry! You get yourself all psyched up for it, all prepared, and then this! I hope they get it cleaned up quickly and that you'll be one of the first they reschedule. And I hope your pain is managed in the meantime.

Hang in there. This is just a temporary delay. You'll eventually get this dealt with. Maybe there's some reason that only God knows for this to happen. He's in control!

Sorry about your re-schedule but you definetly don't want to be in that hospital until its good and clean. The last thing you need is an infection. I forget where is your hospital? we have had a lot of flooding here in Indiana that started in January and just as people could get back into there homes they had another flood and are unable to do anything. This sure has been a tough winter for a lot of people. I hope you get your surgery soon. Take Care, Dee

Wow, I can only imagine how you feel. I remeraber the anxiety that built up prior to my postierior fusion. You just can't wait for the day to try to start rebuilding your life. It is a setback, but the lord works in mysterious ways. Perhaps by not going at those times, something major has been prevented? I have to tell myself things like that when I get really upset over delays of that nature.

On a positive note, I have a few frienRAB that had the anterior and posterior fusion done in the same surgery and they were back to normal lives and no meRAB after a few months. I hope you will be one of those as well. I, unfortunately, am not in that category with just posterior lurabar fusion 2 years ago but I will keep pursuing until I can get great results, or be able to live with the pain.

Keep your chin up, the day will come! ;)

I can imagine how upset you are, I would feel same way!!! But nothing you can do, let it be your worse problem, right?
Just take a deep breath and think positive, everything will be OK.
My last surgery they were scheduling since July... finally they called me at the beginning of Deceraber to let me know DR Camissa just go cansellation and we put you in. To make long story short, Christmas Holidays and almost New Years I spent in a Hospital.... Hospital was empty, not many patients and nurses around. They moved 4 people from 6th floor to the 3rd floor since they had only 13 people on both floors.... How do you like this? LOL
So things happen...
Good luck to you !

i really hope so to lincoln i had a posterior surgery with a fusion in Dec. 2002 and the fusion never healed causing the screws to break. That is why they want to do the anterior/posterior they said if they do it they want to do it right so hopefully i wont have to go back.

I know in my heart god helped with pushing it back the first time cause we were not financialy stable at that time.

I guess i just had my heart ready and hopeing to be able to go back to work so that is why it was so disappointing. That is why they said 8 weeks to clean it all up.

It was in Louisiana it was just a leak in the hospital we have had bad weather recently but they said it was not from that.

Someone told me to get another doctor but i really do trust them and everyone says how good they are it was just a simple accident. I am better after i went to the 'job' i work one day a week for like 3 hours. Well it is with a 87 year old man and he kept telling me how he was so glad i was there, that is what makes me do it cause trust me i didnt want to. He was so weak and i got him to eat when i got there. But grouchy to!
