Just curious- how long do think it's alright to keep leftover food for- eg, meat

casserole? Hi
I made a casserole the night before last, and was thinking about using the rest tonight?
How long do usually keep leftovers?I usually try and use something the next day, but we had something else last night?
 
Properly stored 3-5 days for most foods.
It I think I will not use within a day or two I will freeze.

I think the main things to consider is that they have been refrigerated and are thoroughly reheated.
 
A lot depends on the ingredients if you have used alcohol i,e. wine or beer it will keep longer. A stew of any type will taste better after a few days of marinading in its own flavours. Be sure to reheat properly to 80c minimum for 5 min.
