just bought guitar hero world tour for ps2 & the mic is hooked up but not...

...working it didn't come w instruction? everything else came with instructions except for the mic
i noticed the mic hooks into usb ports like the two on the front of my ps2
and so did the drums signal i guess you could call it

it's hooked up but the game isn't reading it as being hooked up


any ideas??
or is it not completely hooked up or something??
